New One-Woman Comedy Tabula Rasa Opens at Shakespeare Café Salzburg
Writer and performer Janna Ramos-Violante brings her bold new one-woman comedy Tabula Rasa to Shakespeare Café Salzburg this June.
Funny, raw and refreshingly honest, Tabula Rasa follows Paige, a forty-two-year-old wife, mother of three and professional people pleaser who suddenly finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about marriage, motherhood, sexuality and happiness.
What begins with an unexpected kiss at book club quickly spirals into a hilarious journey of self-discovery involving swingers clubs, hoarder houses, family chaos, teenage children, friendship, shame, desire and the universal question:
„What do I actually want?“
Written and performed by Salzburg-based theatre maker Janna Ramos-Violante, Tabula Rasa is a celebration of women who have spent years looking after everyone else and are finally ready to take up space in their own lives.
„I wanted to write something that was funny, honest and unapologetically human. A play about women, for women. It’s about reinvention, self-discovery and finding the courage to ask for more from life. Most importantly, it’s about laughing at the beautiful mess of being human.“
Blending sharp comedy with heartfelt storytelling, Tabula Rasa explores modern womanhood with warmth, humour and surprising emotional depth.
